A quick search through the plugins at wordpress.org will turn up several photo plugins for BuddyPress but none with the comprehensive list of features offered by the rtMedia plugin.

I am (@sbrajesh) really happy to put the update for BuddyBlog plugin. First of all, I will like to thank you all for the tremendous response to BuddyBlog plugin. This update fixes a ton of issues and adds a few features.
 
 
 
This is a simple Buddypress client. If configured properly, it will allow you to post status updates to your Buddypress install. It also has a simple RSS reader for your sitewide activity feed where you can comment on, share and delete feed items.
 
 
 
This seventh beta is full of bug fixes and cleanup. The next release will continue with lower priority bug fixes and plugin conflicts. There is a high likelihood that this is the last beta, and the next round of fixes will get us to a release candidate #1.
 
 
 
At yesterday's dev chat, we agreed the scope of BuddyPress 1.9. Very exciting news, and we'll have a post up soon for people who missed the chat. If you're super-keen, read the IRC logs.
 
 
 
For the 1.8 dev cycle, our experiment with a short timeline and strict deadlines was a big success. We've had very few bug reports related to changes in 1.8, and the speed of the cycle meant that nothing sat unused in trunk for too long. We're hoping to replicate this success by taking a similar approach for BuddyPress 1.9.
