In
1999, Singapore proposed the first Asian Tri-Nations between Singapore,
Chinese Taipei and Hong Kong where Singapore lost narrowly 12-10 to
Hong Kong which showed the developments made in coaching and playing
skills since its heavy loss back in 1994.The tournament saw Singapore's
first win over the Chinese Taipei in 10 years...
