The Historic Core welcomes its newest addition to our nationally recognized street art and murals with Robert Vargas' "Our Lady of DTLA". Sprawled across SB Tower at the southeast corner of 6th & Spring, Our Lady blesses the Downtown community at what was a financial epicenter 100 years ago and has recently emerged as the most densely populated intersection in Los Angeles.
Vargas explains, "'Our Lady of DTLA' expresses a bygone era and a reemergence of passion, art, energy, and new memories for an exciting urban core. It's intended to be a different expression depending on the vantage point and what you know or want to learn about the neighborhood itself."

 The Historic Downtown BID is working with GOOD, a national media platform based in Los Angeles, to bring an week-long series of workshops and seminars from August 19-23. The event will be hosted at a repurposed vacant storefront in the Historic Core. With a grant from the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, the GOOD Global Pop-Up Fellowship will showcase five unique community-based projects from around the world and couple them with prominent organizations and individuals in the same fields based here in Los Angeles.
