Chapter 12 - Be More Intentional
A More In-Depth Look at Discipline: The Art of Achieving Greatness
When you know where you are headed it is a lot easier to achieve what you set out to do. Then and only then can you be more intentional with your life. Intentionality demands purpose and vice versa. Your intentional actions work when you have a plan, because they will get you somewhere. So, what does this type of intentionality require?
It requires you to have a new type of focus. It requires you to get serious about life and stop wandering around aimlessly. It requires you to make a decision to succeed and not fail.
I am reminded of a few times in life where I could have just thrown in the towel and given up. Have you been there? Do you remember that moment when you made the decision to not give up no matter what? It was a tough decision, right? And I can guarantee that you are better for it now. Why? Because it renewed your focus, it gave you clarity, it changed your perspective and most of all it made you realize you could actually achieve what you set out to do.
Intentionality brings focus.
Focus brings opportunity.
Opportunity brings decisions.
And right decisions bring success.
Look for more opportunities to focus on this week. Sometimes all you need to change your perspective around is an opportunity to succeed. Have a great week.
