Mid Winter Update

Hi Clubbies

It's nearly time to get back onto the beach and into the water. There has been a lot going on at the club (behind the scenes) preparing for the upcoming season.

Our committee has been elected and we are thrilled to welcome on board some new committee members this season; namely Andy Kent (Patrol and IRB Officer), Glen and Natalie Jones (Social & Fundraising Co-ordinators), Brett Hamer (co- Boat Captain) and Danny McDowell (Board & Ski Co-ordinator).

Club Registration Day - Sunday 22nd September, Titahi Bay Surf Club

Nippers: Online subscriptions and registrations are to be received by Monday 16^th September if current members want to reserve their space in this seasons nipper programme. From this date nipper registrations will be open to the public and new nippers will be asked to attend our Club Registration Day between 2-4pm. Junior/Senior and Associate Members: Please make payment of subscription fees on or prior to our Club Registration Day; Sunday 22nd September, 2-5pm. Your help with this ensures our patrol rosters are up to date, and helps with planning of surf sports programmes for the season ahead. SLSNZ High Visibility Vests Mandatory
Safety vests will become mandatory at all competitions from 1st October 2013. We are currently sourcing vests for the season ahead and they will be available to purchase from 1st October. We do not have the exact cost as yet but will be leveraging SLSNZ's bulk buying power to ensure we get the best deal for our members.

Working Bee - Sunday 25th August - From 9am
Please come down and support our pre-season working bee, even if you can only spare a couple of hours or donate morning tea; it is really appreciated. We are working towards getting our club up and ready for our Jubilee.

Titahi Bay SLSC 75th Jubilee - Labour Weekend 2013

The Titahi Bay Surf Club's 75th Jubliee will be held from 25 - 27 October 2013.

If you know anyone who would like to attend the Jubilee please forward this link www.titahibayslsc.org.nz/jubilee to them. Past and present members (and their spouses/partners) will have priority registration then from Friday 20th September bookings will be open to the public.

Photos and Memorabilia

If you have any photos or items of interest (medals etc) we would love to be able to display them over the weekend. All photos/memorabilia will be returned after the jubilee weekend.

We are really excited about the Jubilee weekend and we look forward to seeing you all there.
