Plant a Free Tree - Deadline October 15

Our Beautification Committee works with the City of Dallas Reforestation Program to provide free trees on our neighborhood parkways. Over the past four years, we have planted more than 110 trees on our neighborhood parkways. Help keep our neighborhood green — plant a tree. Read more to find out how to get your free trees.

On October 5, bring your family and future Woodrow Wildcats to join the annual tradition of the Woodrow Homecoming Parade. The parade starts and ends at the school and takes a route on Abrams and around Lakewood Village.

The City of Dallas debuted a new 311 app for smart phones to report potholes, graffiti, litter and the like. See it, snap it, send it. It’s free, and users can report and track complaints anonymously.

Lakewood Hills 4th Annual Canned Food Drive

We feel that being part of the community is a big responsibility, and we are excited to host our fourth annual canned food drive benefiting the North Texas Food Bank (NTFB). We will kick off our food drive in October, and it will run through Nov. 20.

Please turn on your porch lights from dusk till dawn. There are several blocks where it's very dark, and very easy for criminals to hide. Set your interior and exterior lights on timers and help deter crime from happening where you live.

Crime Watch: Crime Report

There were multiple serious crimes in and around our neighborhood over the past few weeks, all involving guns. The most recent one, which was widely reported in the media, occurred at 9:30 p.m. on Monday, Sept. 23, in the 7100 block of La Vista Drive.
