Dear <<First Name>>

I’m excited to publish my first newsletter and that you are part of the ‘Simply In Order’ community - thank you!
Upcoming Events

I’m going to present a workshop called ‘Spring-Cleaning’ at the Eltham Library on Friday, 27 September. Participation is free, but registration is appreciated. Come along and get motivated to start decluttering for spring!

I’m also very excited to be part of the ‘Make Me Beautiful Women’s Expo’ that is coming up on Sunday, 29 September in Bundoora. It’s all about women, and it would be lovely to see you there. And why not try your luck at winning a free three-hour organising session?
Are you interested in organising but feel that a session with an organiser would be over the top? Then maybe hosting a workshop might be the answer.

As an addition to my hands-on and virtual consultation sessions, I am now offering home workshops. The workshops take place in the host's home, and she or he invites a few friends for an organising workshop that focuses on a specific topic. Possible topics could include ‘Toy and Craft Supplies Storage’, ‘Time Management for Busy Mums,’ ‘Stress-free Christmas’ and more. It’s an absolutely obligation-free (no party planning!), fun, and educational get-together. Afterwards, everyone will go home inspired.

80 Organisers in One Room
... must be boring?! This couldn't be further from the truth!

I recently had the pleasure of spending a few days in Sydney at our annual AAPO Conference (Australasian Association of Professional Organisers) for professional development. It was great to meet so many colleagues and hear such inspiring guest speakers.

What stuck most with me was what Judith Kolberg talked about. She is one of the thought leaders in our industry and came from the States to talk about ‘Getting Organized in the Era of Endless’. I am reading this latest book of hers at the moment and will tell you more about it in my next newsletter.

Are You Working from Home?

Working from home is great for a whole lot of reasons. However, it can become quite challenging at times. But some easy-to-implement routines can help take away some stress.

Find out more here.

Until next time - I wish you happy organising!

Yours,

Tip

The less you have standing around, the easier and quicker the cleaning becomes. If you want to (spring) clean, make a plan first; allocate enough time in your diary before you start the actual decluttering and cleaning.
