Lesson 36: God's Design for Grace, Part 2
Rom.6:1-2 What shall we say then? Are we to continue in sin that grace may abound? By no means! How can we who died to sin still live in it?
Jude 4 certain people have crept in unnoticed… ungodly people, who pervert the grace of our God into sensuality and deny our only Master and Lord, Jesus Christ.
Once our flesh drives a wedge into a crack in our castle wall, we become careless about sin. Our heart becomes hardened by sin’s deceitfulness.
Heb.3:13 exhort one another every day, as long as it is called today, so that none of you may be hardened by the deceitfulness of sin.
You begin to think that you have freedom in Christ to dabble in sins that used to shock you.
1 John 2:15 Do not love the world or the things in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him.
About This Series
The goal of this series is to become more useful in serving the Lord Jesus Christ, as an instrument in the Redeemer's hand. The theme verses for the series are Ephesians 4:22-24, Philemon 11, 2 Timothy 2:21
- to put off your old self, which belongs to your former manner of life and is corrupt through deceitful desires, and to be renewed in the spirit of your minds,
- and to put on the new self, created after the likeness of God in true righteousness and holiness.
- Formerly he was useless to you, but now he is indeed useful to you and to me.
- Therefore, if anyone cleanses himself from what is dishonorable, he will be a vessel for honorable use, set apart as holy, useful to the master of the house, ready for every good work.
