Happy September!

Ah, fall. Football, parades for junior high marching band, end of summer projects... and that was just Labor Day weekend. Whew! I hope you get to enjoy the beautiful fall weather. This is my favorite season. I love it when the temperatures drop just a little, but the skies stay brilliant deep blue. We get to open up the windows, eat dinner on the deck, and take walks in the evenings. Fall seems like one last deep breath before the chill and craziness of the holidays arrives. Take advantage of it!

Sanction is one step closer
I got the manuscript back from the editor, and she had wonderful comments and encouragement and only minor changes. Give me a few more days to double-check it all, read through once or twice and then it will be off to layout. I hope to have it ready for you in October. I love this story. I love Chuck in it. (I've always loved Chuck... even when he's a jerk.) We get to see a vulnerability in Chuck we have never seen and to compliment that, we see Bobbi's tremendous strength. Doug and Cass are in it. There is a sweet love story with Matt and Shannon and a powerful message besides.

Resolute backstory
If you've read the preview in Refined, you know that Resolute opens as Doug is diagnosed with Alzheimer's disease. I've spent a great deal of the summer filling out Doug's backstory, so we'll be able to draw from those memories in Resolute. It has been one of the most challenging stories I've ever undertaken, because so much of it was already fixed by the first two books. My boundaries were very unforgiving, and Doug's mother was hands-down the most difficult character I have ever worked with. My plan is to get it whipped into shape and make it available to you as an e-book. Watch for it next year some time.

Awards for Razed

We learned this month that Razed won 2013 Global E-book silver medals in both the Christian e-book and Religion/Faith fiction categories.

That's all the big news. I have a few things percolating but time simply evaporated. BlogTalkRadio remains a real possibility, but not until I get back in my office. I still have the study tips e-book in the works, and I should have a Sanction website ready soon. Then there's that story about Donna and Phil I hope to get contracted soon.

Thank you for your support and your encouragement. Thank you for recommending books to your friends. Thank you for commenting on blog posts or Facebook posts or replying to tweets. It is so very wonderful to know we are in this together!
