IIT 2013 Conference Details
The theme of the IIT 2013 Conference, December 6-8,2013 is "Inspiring Innovation for Tomorrow". This conference is focused on five different threads that will weave a tapestry of innovations for near future. These five threads are Sustainability, Technology, Energy, Education and Life Sciences (STEEL). The current program includes luminaries, business and thought leaders who will illuminate various braids of STEEL .
The conference has a thought- and action- provoking main course, sprinkled with opportunities to socialize, reignite old friendships and create new ones, and for lightheartedness and entertainment. By 2045, the world's population is expected to rise to 9 Billion people, all of whom would expect a decent education and a healthy, quality life. To assure a bright future, the world will need 50% more food, 30% more water and 50% more energy. The conference has chosen STEEL threads--Sustainability, Technology, Education, Energy. Life Sciences--to weave a tapestry of innovations.

IIT 2013 Conference Golf
Do not miss out the pre conference golf event at the Wildcat Golf course (Dec 5th) as we have limited openings. So work on your game and show up in Houston a day early, for Masti in true IIT style. The Wildcat course is one of the best course in the Southeast Texas area. The preferred golf course of Houston's professional sports teams. It offers two spectacular golf courses - designed by Roy Case - located just south of Houston. Both courses feature elevations up to 100 feet providing spectacular views of Houston's downtown skyline, the Galleria and the Reliant Stadium complex.
Participation Fee: US $100 (Includes Lunch & Transportation from Hilton)

IIT 2013 Business Plan Competition
The IIT 2013 business plan competition aims to promote and facilitate innovation and entrepreneurship among the IIT community and to enhance the IIT brand. The first round of the competition will be held at regional centers in Dallas, Washington DC, Bay Area, Chicago and India. The final round will be held during the IIT Conference in Houston. To be eligible, at least one member of the start-up team should be a member of the IIT community.
Are you innovative? Are you up for the entrepreneurial challenge? Then get your business plans ready and participate in the PANIIT 2013 business plan competition. Not only can you win the grand cash prizes but also will get an opportunity to network with the VCs and the business leaders. A special prize will be awarded for business demonstrating strong social entrepreneurship . The competition is now open for submissions.
