Oh my, how life is changing!

My Studio: In Boxes

This has certainly been a year full of unexpected changes! When I last wrote I was having a clearance sale in preparation for putting our home/property (my studio!) up for sale. Thanks to all of you that purchased art online and at the studio, I really appreciate your support!

The house listing happened on a Wednesday, we had our first showing on a Thursday and by Friday had an offer! Since then it's been a whirlwind of activity, cumulating with the final packing this week.

Ultimately I will have a much larger studio space and I am certainly excited about that! In the meantime most things are packed in boxes. I kept out one bag of "just in case" supplies. I can't imagine I'll have time to actually create anything but I couldn't stand the idea of packing absolutely EVERYTHING away for several months.

I hope that your summer was full of happiness. Although I've pretty well cleared my schedule for now, I'm sharing a pair of future events below that I plan to participate in. Hopefully I will see you at one of them!

Peace & love,

Lynne

Works in progress, SLOW progress!

I've created a few pieces of art during the last few months, almost all of them using old book pages. The most recent is a set of trees that will be on wood panels. They are each 12" x 48" with a spray painted background, the branches made from old dictonary pages and details in charcoal, pencil & ink.

I plan on having this and other work at the DejaVu Art & Fine Craft Fair on Saturday, November 16th. This show focuses on re-purposed, upcycled and recycled art pieces and has 60 exhibitors from Indiana, Ohio and Kentucky participating. It's amazing to see all the creative ideas and art in this show! Held at The Commons in downtown Columbus, Indiana from 10 - 4 p.m. you do not want to miss it!
6th Annual Autumn Art Fair at the Garfield Park Arts Center on Nov. 23 & 24, 2013

Yup, I'm going to do shows on back-to-back weekends this fall! I'm returning to the Autumn Art Fair and looking forward to this fun event at the Arts Center at Garfield Park in Indianapolis. There are two days worth of opportunities for you to come view & purchase art and gifts so you've got no excuse not to stop by, right? :)
