Going Green towards a sustainable future

School for Life Romania is moving towards a greener and more sustainable future

As summer draws to a close our thoughts have turned with the coming of Autumn...

This winter with the rising costs of fuel worldwide our project heating costs are estimated to be £250 to £300 per month!

With austerity measures hitting Romania hard, petrol prices have rocketed to almost match UK prices at £1.10 per litre, the average wage being approximately £290 per month.

Discussions have taken place and we have agreed to raise funds to fix insulation to the external walls of our school, replace all windows with double glazing, and insulate the roof.

This is in order to reduce our running costs and carbon footprint, and maintain the invaluable service to our students we provide so they can continue to leave the hospital building and access our school during the long harsh winters  (5 to 6 months) when temperatures regularly drop to – 25C to -30C

Going Green towards a sustainable future makes sense to us financially, helps protect our planet for future generations and fits in with our well established aims..

"Where possible all material and human resources are met from within Romania"

Please help us meet our target of £5500!

Over 99% of all donations go directly to our project in Romania, all admin costs, visits etc are privately funded

If you'd like to help us by organising a sponsored event,
you can now set up your own personalised fundraising page to send to your family and friends through our Just Giving page by clicking on the link below

Thank you for your support, every donation however small really does goes a long way!

If we are fortunate enough to raise more than £5500 through this campaign, any excess will go to further repairs to the building and running costs of School for Life Romania
