When we last wrote you we were making the final preparations to receive a group of seventy youth and leaders from the state of Georgia for a week of evangelism. Though nearly a month has passed since the group was here, we are still seeing the results of their tremendous work.

Leaving a testimony for a  nation. During the week we were able to work with schools, hospitals, homeless, and prisons. Our message was simple, but the impact was profound--Jesus loves you. Working with those marginalized by society causes the community to take notice, especially when foreigners are the ones leading by example. Both the local government and media were witnesses to the week's work and soon after the event we received word that a special program would be aired on Colombian national television so that the country could see the work that had been done.

A quick visit home. After a little over two and a half years we made our first visit home to Georgia. The opportunity came as our triennial missionary area retreat was held on St. Simon's Island. It was great to reconnect with family and friends. We wish we could have seen everyone--but unfortunately time did not permit as we had to return to our other home, Armenia, to kick off the new semester at the university with the ministry that began earlier this year.
The Georgia District AIM team
To the jungles and mountains! Five students from our missionary training school arrived in indigenous communities where they will be spending the next two months for their cross-cultural practicum. This is an exciting time as God continues to work in them and prepare them to reach those who have not heard. Remember in your prayers these five students: Joan David, Deisy, Betty, Alejandra, and Tatiana.

A look ahead. September will begin with Ryan traveling to the city of Medellín for a week with all of our Colombian missionaries. Along with other leaders of the Colombian missions program, Ryan and will be training our missionaries in several areas. After a few days at home, he is then scheduled to teach a Bible school class in Ibagué. Caitlyn will have her hands full with the university ministry and our small group meetings, and then we will all travel to Bogotá the sixteenth of September for meetings with our national leadership.

 Prayer Requests
-Safe travels as we spend the month of September crisscrossing the mountains of Colombia .
-That those who were reached through the AIM team would continue to grow in their faith.
-God raise up leaders for the university ministry so we may do more.
