SORT at Fortnum & Mason
Try Your Hand at Letterpress Printing
For the London Design Festival (14-22 September) The Society Of Revisionist Typographers ( SORT) will be running a series of demonstrations and interactive events in-store at Fortnum & Mason with a recreation of their Cockpit Arts' letterpress workshop. The event will celebrate the launch of Fortnum's new stationery department.

London Fashion Week Gems
Cockpit jewellers Jacqueline Cullen (work pictured), Jo Hayes Ward and Ornella Iannuzzi (alumus) will showcase their SS14 collections in the Designer Showrooms during London Fashion Week (13-17 September). This British Fashion Council showcase, which also toured to 'Couture', Las Vegas, features ten designers who demonstrate "...the incredible depth of real talent to be found within the British jewellery industry.” - Stephen Webster

Print Takes Centre Stage at LDF
Print and mark-making crafts are celebrated in a number of new works on show during London Design Festival. Kethi Copeland and Fanny Shorter (header image) feature in ‘ Imprint’ a showcase at Craft Central from 17-21 September. Award winning textile designer Lorna Syson (work pictured) is exhibiting at 100% Design from 18-21 September. Thornback & Peel have teamed up with Winter's Moon to show mid-century furniture upholstered with their hand-printed fabrics, from 14-22 September.

Contemporary Silver: A Selling Exhibition
Don't miss works by silversmiths Victoria Coleman (work pictured) and Shona Marsh on show at Christie’s until 5 September. This public exhibition and online auction highlights 61 talented silversmiths, as well as works loaned from The Silver Trust collection. Featured pieces have been crafted using a variety of processes, from the traditional methods of raising and hammering to computer-aided techniques.

20+ Cockpit Arts' Jewellers & Silversmiths
Always a highlight of the jewellery calendar, this prestigious fair will feature an exciting line up for 2013. Cockpit Arts jewellers and silversmiths are out in full force with 20 of our current studio-holders and 5 alumni. Recent graduates such as Shaun Grace (pictured), Cockpit Arts/NADFAS Award winner 2012, will be exhibiting alongside established designer-makers. Week One: 23-29 September & Week Two: 1-6 October.
