Help Binc Help Booksellers
We hear it all the time, bookstore employees who are doing everything right; living within their means, cutting back on extras and making a good life doing what they love by connecting people to books. Then in a flash, their life turns upside down. It could be a medical emergency, their spouse or significant other might lose their job, they may experience a divorce or separation, or a natural disaster strikes. Whatever the cause, the result is the same – a bookseller struggling to pay the rent, utilities or medical bills. Our goal is for all booksellers to know that this is when they should call Binc. We will do whatever we can to help them get back on their feet, to restore their household to the pre-emergency state. But they can’t call if they don’t know about Binc, so please help spread the word by visiting bookstores and telling the staff about our programs. Join the Binc 100 Bookstore Challenge! Read more>

Binc Travels the Country
Every fall the regional Independent Booksellers Associations (IBAs) hold their annual conferences and trade shows. There is no better place to spread the word about Binc programs than at a congregation of booksellers, so the Binc staff is hitting the road. Pam, Kit and Penny will be heading across the country from New Jersey to Portland. Along the way we will be holding fundraising events, presenting to groups and meeting and greeting as many booksellers as possible. If you will be at any of the various IBA conferences, be sure to look us up.
