10th Anniversary of the Global Center for Women and Justice

CELEBRATING 10 YEARS.

In 2003, Vanguard University professors and founding co-directors Dr. Elizabeth Dermody Leonard and Dr. Sherilyn Benvenuti cast the vision to establish “an interdisciplinary faith-based Center for Women’s Studies that promotes the empowerment of women through research, advocacy, education and collaboration and is recognized internationally as a leading resource and educator on women’s issues.”

A decade later, we will look back to see how this vision has emerged as a reality in the Global Center for Women and Justice. We will host three days of events that celebrate our achievements, model our mission and expand our vision for the next 10 years! This is your chance to celebrate with us, check out our progress on fulfilling our vision, and make plans for being part of our future. Join us for a screening of Girl Rising on September 19, a Birthday Party and unveiling of four exhibit panels depicting our history on September 20, and our September 21 finale event, More Priceless than Diamonds Luncheon,  where we will launch our vision for the future to study the issues, be a voice, and make a difference.
