Exhibition at Central Craft 


The new partnership between the Hermannsburg Potters and Ngurratjua will be inagurated by the upcoming exhibition at Central Craft. Come along to this special event and view artworks by both the potters and the painters of the Hermannsburg region. The event will be catered and some of the artists will be present.

Ngurratjuta Many Hands / Hermannsburg Potters 


Ngurratjuta Iltja Ntjarra Aboriginal Corporation is pleased to announce a new partnership with the Hermannsburg Potters. This partnership will enable greater collaboration between the potters and the painters, including the sharing of resources which will foster high quality art production. 

Both the potters and the painters are looking forward to working together in this new phase of development. 

See below a selection of new works by both the painters and the potters. If you're interested in any of the works, please contact the respective art centres.

Desert Mob Symposium 'Faces, Places, Spaces'


This year's Desert Mob Symposium will feature a special presentation by two of Ngurratjuta's artists: Peter Tjutjatja Taylor and Myra Ah Chee. Brother and sister, Myra and Peter grew up together and have been a great influence on each other's art practice. In their presentation they will share their history, historical photos and discuss their past and recent paintings.  


New Field Officer Position at Ngurratjuta Many Hands


Many Hands welcome a new member to their team, Isabelle Waters, who will be the Field Officer working in the Hermannsburg region. Isabelle's role will include the development of a Youth Mentoring Program, which will foster emerging young artists from the Hermannsburg region. Isabelle will also work closely with the Hermannsburg Potters.

Red Centre Bird Festival Exhibition


Ngurratjuta Many Hands artists are preparing for the upcoming Red Centre Bird Festival Exhibition. The exhibition will showcase local works that depict the birds of the Central Australian region. Come along and view recent works from Many Hands art, as well as a selection of local independent artists.

Darwin Art Fair Workshop with Marie Abbott 


Ngurratjuta is pleased to report that the workshop with watercolour artist Marie Abbott held during the Darwin Art Fair was a great success. It was great to catch up with Marie and engage her expertise. In Marie's words, '[art and culture is] where your heart is, where you belong. That's why you gotta teach the art with your grandkids or great grandkids, so they can know too.'

Hermannsburg Artists: 75th Anniversary 
 

Perth residents are invited to head down to Japingka Gallery for the special exhibition celebrating the 75th anniversary of Albert Namatjira's first watercolour exhibition. The exhibition will celebrate the continuity of the iconic Western Arrernte watercolour tradition. Presented in association with Ngurratjuta.
