Fall 2013 News from Victoria Dahl!

Books in stores:

Happy Fall News!

September 2013

Hello, everyone! It’s time again for my surprise occasionally-annual newsletter! I know I don’t send this out as regularly as I should, but I like to think that makes me beautifully mysterious. And the newsletter, too.  But I’ve finally got some really big news to share!

First of all, there’s a new book! So Tough to Tame, the third book in the Jackson series, is in stores now!

If you've heard me talking about Walker the sexy cowboy...this is his book, folks. Whew. Walker.

Tough to tame, but not too tough to love…
Charlie Allington is supposed to be on the fast track to the top—a small-town girl who was making it big in her career. Instead, she's reeling from a scandal that's pretty much burned all her bridges. Now, out of options, she needs a place to lick her wounds and figure out her future. True, working at a ski resort in rugged Jackson Hole, Wyoming, isn't her dream job. But if there's one perk to coming back, it's a certain sexy hometown boy who knows how to make a girl feel welcome.

Cowboy Walker Pearce never expected a grown-up Charlie to be temptation in tight jeans. She's smart and successful—way out of league for a man like him. But he's not about to let that, or his secrets, get in the way of their blazing-hot attraction. Yet when passion turns to something more, will the truth—about both of them—send her out of his life for good…or into his arms forever?

And now that the first Jackson trilogy is wrapped up, I can announce I’m writing another series set in Jackson!

The first book, Looking for Trouble, will be out next summer, and I’m thrilled to announce that the hero will be Alex Bishop, the long lost younger brother of Shane Harcourt (Too Hot to Handle.) Those of you who’ve been hoping for another tattooed hero with a shaved head might find something to like in Alex.  So does his heroine, a local librarian named Sophie Heyer, who’s not quite as buttoned-down or innocent as she looks.

I’m writing Alex right now, and I can tell you he’s very hot and grumpy and I’m having a great time. ☺

Now for the super exciting news! I’ll be signing books in Boonsboro, MD on October 26th with Nora Roberts!

I still can’t believe I’ll be participating in an event with the amazing Ms. Roberts. I’m over the moon! I hope all of you in the area can make it to this amazing Turn the Page bookstore event. Nora will be signing Dark Witch, the first book in her new series, which won’t be in any other stores until October 29th!  I’ll be signing the Jackson series books, and there will be several other authors there as well!

I’ve never been to this part of Maryland, and I can’t wait. Road trip! And then Nora Roberts! And meeting readers! What a perfect Halloween treat. Please check out their website for more details, and I hope you can make it!

For those of you on the west coast, I’ll also be making an appearance in Southern California in October! On October 12th, I’ll be speaking and signing books at the Orange County Romance Writers of America birthday bash! To get more details on this fun weekend, click here. I hope to see you there!

And I'll be in New Orleans next May for the annual Romantic Times Convention! New Orleans is one of my favorite towns. The convention will be a blast, but at least come by for the giant book signing if you can make it! More details at the RT Convention website soon.

Last but not least, for those of you who prefer paper books over e-books, I’ve got happy news! My e-book-only Jackson short story, "Strong Enough to Love" will be out in print on December 31st!

This is Eve Hill’s story. (Grace’s boss from Close Enough to Touch.)

I knew I wanted to write this from the moment Grace met her and caught that hint of sadness in her eyes. Warning: this one might make you cry. Look for it in the Turn Up the Heat anthology!

But you can still buy the ebook from
KindleBN.com, iBooks,
Kobo and many others!

That's it! What do you say we meet back here in a year or so?

In the meantime, I hope you're having a gorgeous fall! We've already gotten our first few snowfalls here in the mountains, and I love it. It's the perfect weather for writing. And eating pie. And drinking wine.

As always, thank you so much for being a reader! And please visit my website for information about all my books.

All my best,
Victoria
