Is "Not Provided" A Problem?

Google makes all searches secure, but it's not the end of the world - or SEO.

Last week Google published its new Hummingbird algorithm and confirmed it's making all searches secure (except for Ads). While Google continues pursuing for more relevant search results, this also means that you won't be able to track organic keyword-specific traffic in Google Analytics or any other web analytics software anymore.

Below is a screenshot from www.notprovided.com which tracks the total percentage of 'not provided' results. On 29th September the percentage was as high as 79% which obviously is a lot.
