Message from the Chapter
Greetings, and thank you for signing up for our monthly newsletter.  It is our honor and privilege to bring this amazing national organization to our home in Silicon Valley. For those who are unfamiliar with NWPC, you are not alone! We are a group of progressive individuals with one simple mission: put more progressive women into office. Why? Because we can only be part of the conversation if we are sitting at the table. In the next few days, you will have an opportunity to learn more history of NWPC, hear about ways you can get involved, and see what this chapter will offer our local community. But for now, below is a taste of whats to come! Read more about NWPC here.

“NWPC played an important role in the campaigns of the three most explicit feminists who ran for office: Susanne Wilson, Zoe Lofgren, and Shirley Lewis….Zoe Lofgren described the timing of NWPC’s help as crucial to her first supervisorial race in 1980: ‘Several people convinced me to run very late in the game.  The NWPC gave me one of my biggest contributions, $2,000. Their help made a difference.’”

Marie Curie is best known for the discovery of radioactivity but few understand the obstacles she faced to enter the laboratory. Set in 1915, this one-woman play reveals Marie's remarkable journey from political oppression through international prominence. Masterfully portrayed by Susan Marie Frontczak, Manya explores the tenacity of the human spirit and enduring allure of scientific discovery.
