VIMEA was originally an advocacy and trade organization for medical cannabis produced on Vashon Island in Washington State. With the change to the state law in early 2016 that dismantled the medical cannabis system, we have pivoted to become a patient outreach and education organization.
We host exceptional educational cannabis patient gatherings five time a year.
Our primary intentions are...
...to educate and support our island's patients and other residents so they have the best information available about cannabis medicine and growing their own cannabis plants.
...to initiate socially responsible gatherings where cannabis enthusiasts can enjoy each others' company while doing good works in our community.
...to create a positive environment so good neighbors feel safe to start legal cannabis businesses without being socially ostracized
By taking these actions we will play a role in the successful integration of legal cannabis in a way that leaves our island community socially intact and better for it
