Our projects and services...

Vote for De'ils On Wheels: voting in the Finding Scotland's Real Heroes awards Environmental Project of the Year closes at 7pm on Friday 18 October (tomorrow) - your support is very much appreciated!

Annual General Meeting: our AGM will take place at 7pm on Wednesday 23 October at The Whiteinch Centre - everyone welcome to come along!

Dog fouling campaign: campaign posters have been put up in various places along Dumbarton Road and over a dozen surveys have been completed during the campaign. You can keep up to date on the dedicated page on our blog.

50th Bike Donated: De'ils On Wheels recently received it's 50th donated bike since the project re-opened in the Spring - many thanks to everyone that has donated a bike to us and if you have any unwanted bikes then please get in touch!

20 tonnes of food waste: our food waste project in partnership with Glasgow Clyde College Anniesland Campus hit a landmark earlier this month when it surpassed 20 tonnes of food waste which has been diverted from landfill!

Garscadden and Scotstounhill Area Partnership: the DRCET Project Manager sits on the area partnership as a substitute voluntary sector representative - find out more about the role of the Area Partnership!

Job opportunity at The Whiteinch Centre: The Whiteinch Centre is looking for a Volunteer Coordinator - deadline for applications is Friday 25 October. The Whiteinch Centre has also been shortlisted for the Bank of Scotland Community Fund awards - voting is open until 1 November.

Yoker Allotments wins award: congratulations to Yoker Allotment Association for winning a silver award in the Glasgow Allotment Forums Sustainability Awards. Great work!

Finding Scotland's Real Heroes: there is another local person in the running for an award - Cameron Ironside who is an S4 pupil at Knightswood Secondary and also a volunteer with DRC Generations has also been shortlisted for Young Community Champion of the Year and the programme will be aired on Friday 18 October. Good luck Cameron!

Bus lane enforcement camera: the first new enforcement camera on Dumbarton Road will come into effect on Monday, 21 October

£74 million home energy fund: a new national campaign which will make sure households know what energy initiatives they are entitled to.

Kingsway Court Health and Wellbeing Centre Halloween Fundraiser: this years fundraiser will be held on Friday 25 October.

Glasgow Subway to create sustainable hear: the Glasgow Subway is looking to develop a sustainable heating system using to heat its subway stations by using the natural water leaking into its tunnels.
