My Mom, Carolyn Hardin, Passed Oct 2nd

"There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under heaven: a time to be born and time to die, a time to plant and a time to uproot..." Ecclesiastes 3:1-2

I was led to this verse tonight and the Lord comforted my heart as only He can. People ask me how I am doing, and I honestly don't know how to answer them because each moment is different. Right after Mom passed, I felt relief for her because of how much she was suffering. I have the amazing confidence that she is not only with the Lord, but she is dancing and worshiping Him in her new body free of pain and hospitals, doctors and medicines.

We were so blessed by how Woodmen Valley Chapel, Mom and Dad's church, helped plan her service! They went the extra mile and loved on all of us, especially my Dad. We were so blessed by how all of my Aunts and Uncles came out and even some of my cousins and an old friend as well!

Now that things have settled down, and I look at old pictures, there is the loss of a loving mom and grandmother to my kids. One great thing that mom always did was make sure my kids had warm clothes, shoes, socks, underwear, hats, gloves, and anything else they wanted when she took them to the mall! Between my Mom and Jeff's Mom, I have barely had to buy any clothing for my kids! Well, it got really cold yesterday in Colorado and, being the cheapskate I am, Wesley was still wearing sandals and Sophie didn't have a jacket. So since my dad gave us some money (Thank you Dad! Also, Thank you Joyce, too!), I took my kids shopping and actually spent money and made sure they had their warm winter clothes. So things like this will come up. Everyone says grieving is a process.

I am so thankful to the Lord for His perfect timing. Not long after we started this journey into missions mom began to get sick. But the Lord kept confirming our paths and reminded us that we could trust His perfect will. This journey has not been easy, but He has been faithful, down to us being here for mom's passing. The second part of the verse above blessed me tonight, because we are still uprooted! We are waiting on the rest of our support to come in so we can be planted in Germany. God could do it with one large check or with another 30 or so monthly supporters. We believe God is going to do it, and we are praying that He does it soon.

Thank you for your love, your prayer support, and your financial support. If you'd like to give a gift in mom's memory, you can do so here. All for His Glory on the Earth!

Until His Nets are Full,

Carrie
