The Chillaton Newsletter - October 2013
Welcome to another edition of the Chillaton Newsletter. Our semi-regular attempt to keep the village up to date with what is going on in Chillaton. Our aim is that by using the website  http://www.chillaton.net and the calendar on the site, we can keep you up to date with local events, but we can only do that if you tell us about them, so please keep in touch by emailing the editors at chillaton_news@chillaton.net or by using the contact form on the website.

Regards

End of The Sky at Night?
Local resident, Jim Wilkinson has notified us that there is a move to axe the long running TV program, The Sky at Night. As Chillaton is normally (when it isn't raining) a good -place to observe the celestial goings-on owing to the absence of light pollution, he has asked us to see if anyone would be interested in signing the petition to keep the program on the air. The petition, along with the full story, can be found at http://www.change.org/en-GB/petitions/the-bbc-please-do-not-axe-the-sky-at-night
Road Closure - Marystow to the White House on 22nd October
The attached map gives details of a road closure taking place from Marystow to the White House Marystow, on Tuesday 22nd  October 2013. The closure is to enable South West Highways to carry out patching works on behalf of Devon County Council. A diversion route will be signed and maintained from each end of the closure, and all affected properties will be letter-dropped in advance.  South West Highways will endeavour to maintain access to properties within the closure, however there may be times when access is restricted, and they would like to apologise in advance for an inconvenience caused by these essential works.
The Renegades are back!
The Chichester Arms will once again be hosting the Renegades for an evening of live country and western music on Saturday 19th October from 8pm!
