Thanks to our hosts Rogue River Lodge and their staff. Cakery Kisses, Sensational Sweets and Rays for the awesome desserts. A big thanks to all of you for such an awesome turnout, your enthusiasm and support for the Upper Rogue is unwaning.
November General Meeting: Monday November 4th at the Ashpole. This will be another civic opportunity as we'll get a tour of City Hall and take a behind the scenes look at how our city operates. We look forward to seeing you all there and keeping the momentum and enthusiasm going.
Please Welcome New Members: Bev McKechnie from Take Shape For Life, Fred LaBrasseur from LaBrasseur Vineyard, Kaye Cawlkins and Kris Howard from the Eagle Point Food Project. Please click on the links to their business to learn more about our new members. Swing in, say hi and support LOCAL.
We need your help:
Chamber Board: November we'll send out the ballots for electing the board. We are looking for a couple new people to give us one morning a month. The third Tuesday of every month we meet for an hour. Looking for someone to throw in their two cents, ideas and solutions. If you need a personal invitation consider this a personal invitation to YOU to be a part of the board. Interested? I knew you would be, please e-mail Mike at info@eaglepointchamber.org.
Volunteer Upper Rogue: We're putting together a 'Volunteer Upper Rogue' group. We would like for someone to step up and spearhead this great opportunity for the community. We'd like to put a few people on a board that would oversee a large group of people that have an hour a month, week, day to donate. We'll have an e-mail system much like this to communicate to those that have an hour a month to volunteer and what events/projects are going on that need volunteers. It will essentially be a bank of volunteers for the Upper Rogue. Interested? This has been an idea for a while and it's now time to take it from concept to BEING REAL.

Veterans Day
Monday November 11th: The Senior Center will be sponsoring a Veterans Day breakfast. Always a great gathering place not just for Veterans but for those that want to honor them and hear some good stories. People are asked to meet at the Ashpole Center at 10:30 for the march down Main St to covered bridge. The Veteran's Day Ceremony will begin right at 11:11 am.
Website Additions/Revisions: Websites are always evolving, and we're in the process of making some tweaks to the chamber site. We've added several pictures to our home page slider showing off the beauty of the entire Upper Rogue. We've really enhanced the community calendar.
It's our goal to offer the BEST community calendar possible. Bringing business and quality of life together. Take a quick peak at the new community calendar here. New housing is on the rise which means new people moving to the area and others that will be interested in moving here, you'll be seeing relocation become part of the chamber website as well.
Chamber Website Advertisement: With nearly 10,000 visits a year from all 50 states, advertising on the Eagle Point Upper Rogue Chamber Website is a great investment in your business and the community. To see 10 reasons why your business should advertise on the chamber website click here. Just $200 for a YEAR! Add to our list of sponsors today. email mike at info@eaglepointchamber.org.
Membership Drive: We currently have a record 118 Members! We are looking to grow that number even MORE. July through October we will begin our Membership drive, and the business that is responsible for bringing in the most NEW members will receive a FREE 2014 membership to the Eagle Point Upper Rogue Chamber of Commerce. A 'new' member is a business that has not been a member of the Eagle Point Upper Rogue Chamber for at least 2 years.
Create NEW Habits: Look to create new shopping habits. Take the time to stop in and support our wonderful local brick and mortar businesses. It shouldn't be a contest of how much you can buy at one store, but look at taking a few extra minutes to shop at the specialty shops in the Upper Rogue...
