Aloha kakou!
Wow - October is already here and the year will be coming to a close before we know it! A scary thought, but also a reminder of how quickly time flies. We need to steward our time well and be intentional about treating each and every day as a gift. This month's newsletter has some really exciting things to look at, including past members receiving national recognition, awesome YouTube videos, expanding programs, and an exciting upcoming way YOU and your 'ohana can support Kupu while saving money and becoming more sustainable!!!
There is one item I'd like to highlight in particular that the Kupu Team and I are really excited to share about. Kupu has been nationally granted provisional accreditation by the Corps Center of Excellence, which states we meet the highest standards of a youth corps nationally. It also means that we meet the standards of our Federal partners, set forth by the Federal Advisory Committee of The 21st Century Conservation Service Corps. Kupu is really proud to represent our state on a national as the only Hawaii organization to have this status and we know that it will create greater opportunities for our members and it also shows that Kupu's programs have excellence even when measured at a national scale. Thank you to everyone being such huge supporters of Kupu, as this would not be possible without such great partners, volunteers, members, staff, leadership teams, Board of Directors, alumni, and other supporters. Mahalo nui loa for your continued support and I hope to see more of you in person in the days to come.
Aloha,
John
