October Events Galore!

Greetings Asians & Friends Chicago Members:

We have a ton of impromptu and seasonal events planned for October, as we hope to engage you via our website, e-mail, text, FaceBook, Twitter and other online options. If you don't have anything else to do, we have something going on this Friday (Oct. 4)! See below.

October Events:

Fri., Oct. 4–Harry and Angel invite you to join them to see ”Linsanity” 7:15 p.m. A documentary about the first Asian-American pro-basketball player, Jerry Lin. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q14ooGPJZBs. Ticket price is $12 at the AMC River East theater at 322 E. Illinois St, Chicago, IL. Meet at the top of the escalators. Dinner and drinks afterward in the area.

Sun. Oct. 6–Seasoned AFC members invite you  to our first-Sunday-of the-Month Dim Sum, Furama, 4936 N. Broadway in Chicago. 2nd Floor Landing, 12:30 p.m. About $20.

Thurs., Oct. 17–Ryan, Sukiat, Joe, Curtis and Angel invite you to Oktoberfest Dinner. 7:30 p.m. at Haufbrauhaus, a brand new facility near O'Hare and accessible (15-min. walk) from the Rosemont Blue Line stop. The restaurant is at 5500 Park Pl  Rosemont, IL 60018. A band flown in from Germany and ethnic dancers are on the bill. RSVP to (312) 409-1573 by Tues., Oct. 15.

Sat., Oct. 19–Kevin and Angel invite you to a Masquerade Party and Gay Asian Male Calendar Shoot, at 7:30 p.m. at @mosphere, 5355 N. Clark in Chicago. Come in costume for a “GAMasquerade” calendar photo shoot. Don’t want to be photographed? Don’t worry. Lots of music, friends and fun to go around! Sponsor: GAM-TV at gamTVusa.com.
