Classrooms, residence halls and the dining room seem a little more full this year thanks to 349 freshmen, an 11.5 percent increase over last year’s freshman enrollment number. Read the story.

FESTIVAL IS NOV. 2

From 11 a.m. until 2 p.m., authentic foods from South and Central America and the Caribbean will be for sale, and presentations will be made on the history, culture and chemistry of Latin ingredients and dishes. Come and experience “nixtamal to grits.”
