Introducing The Madeleine Auction presenting sponsors, Michael Hughes and Spencer Siegel

PResenting sponsors of the 2013 Madeleine AuctionIt is with our sincere gratitude and appreciation that we announce the presenting sponsors of this year’s Madeleine Auction, 6th-grader Michael Hughes and 5th grader Spencer Siegel. We are humbled to count these generous and supportive families among our community. Thank you so very much!

Earn volunteer hours for attending!

It is the sincere hope of Susan and Fr. Mike that every school family who is not working the auction is attending the auction. This is our biggest and longest-running fundraiser, and a glittering, shining evening! So please, arrange some child care, and be ready to celebrate everything that is great about The Madeleine School, and the community that supports it. As Susan mentioned at Back to School night in September, getting your required Auction volunteer hours may be a challenge this year due to the new format. Therefore, we have dropped the requirement that 8 of your 30 total hours be spent on the auction. And, as a special incentive to get you to the Auction, you will receive credit for 5 volunteer hours (10 per couple) for buying your ticket and attending the auction. Fulfilling your volunteer commitment has never been so much fun!

Raffle Tickets

Keep selling those raffle tickets! Remember, 1st prize is a $5,000 dream vacation OR $5,000 tuition credit. If you have any friends who go to other Catholic elementary schools or LaSalle, Central Catholic, Jesuit, St. Mary’s high schools...the tuition credit applies to those schools as well.

Online Auction to debut Tuesday

There are just four days left until the Online Auction Goes LIVE!  On October 22, you will be able to browse, bid and “buy now” like many sites you're familiar with.  Be the first bidder on some of these great items:
  • Check those pearly whites and bid on a Dental Check up from Dentistry for Children
  • A slam dunk for the next birthday party is here, bid on the Milkshake party for 8 offered by Portland's famous scooper Salt & Straw
  • Get fit this fall for REAL this time and bid on fitness packages from Urban Pilates, barre3, and The Refinery
The Online Auction will remain open for bidding until midnight November 5.  When the site goes live, we encourage you to share the Online Auction with family, friends and neighbors to join in the fun. Remember, one of the reasons we took this portion of the auction virtual is to broaden our reach and boost our capacity to fundraise.  We need every member of the Madeleine community to spread the word and make the Online Auction a huge success!

Easel Items...buy them here!

Easel items are so much fun. You get to go to a great event, at a great price with great people! We have 12 great easel items this year....you can see their descriptions here. The latest one is BARRE to BAR, a 1-hour Barre3 class, followed by treats from Migration Brewing. You can buy Easel Items when you buy your auction tickets (see the giant red graphic above). If you've already bought your Auction tickets or are (gasp) not going to the auction, you can click here to sign up.

Baskets needed!

The auction is looking for a dozen or so baskets to be used for the silent auction.  If any families have unwanted baskets, could they please drop off in the parent work room.  Thank you!
