Welcome to a new year!
Welcome to the 2013-14 academic year, the ninth year of i-Teams at the University of Cambridge. To date we have worked on over 80 projects with over 500 students, which include 24 active start-ups.
Our website has been updated - please go ahead and take a look!
This year we plan to run three projects in each of the three Cambridge terms. Our Michaelmas Term projects are underway, but we are looking for projects for Lent (January-March) and Easter (March-June) terms and will open applications for students in November and February...
If you have a potential project for i-Teams, please contact us via the website.
New faces for i-Teams
We are pleased to welcome some new and old faces to i-Teams this year.
Adrian Swinburne, a long-term i-Teams mentor, has joined our Steering Group as Mentor Representative. We are very grateful to Marc Bax whom Adrian replaces - Marc has been our Mentor Representative since we set up the Steering Group, and is still our most prolific i-Teams mentor!
Grace Copplestone, a fourth year Engineering student and CUTEC's Director of Innovation, has also joined the Steering Group as our Student Representative, and is a member of one of this term's i-Teams.
We have added a new workshop to our i-Teams course this term. Led by Katie Bardes, an experienced Learning and Development specialist, the workshop focuses on the communication skills and techniques which are needed for a successful i-Teams project, including listening and asking the right questions. The first one runs tonight and we are looking forward to it!
