Happy Thanksgiving!  From all of us at the shop we wish you a very relaxing holiday this week.  We hope that you will have plenty of time to enjoy with friends and family.

And when the dishes have been washed, and the leftovers have been tucked away, we hope that you will come and join us at the end of the week for our very special sale.  We will be open at 8 am this Friday to offer you some exclusive savings, as well as some home baked treats.  Friday and Saturday everything in the shop will be 20% off and you can receive an additional 10% of savings if you bring in an unopened package of children's clothing (ages 5 - 12).  Details can be found here.

We have limited our class offerings this month to give you more time to work on your own projects and to spend time with your friends and family.  Keep your eyes peeled for a special email that will arrive in your inbox announcing our 2014 class schedule that will fill January - March with fun workshop classes that can be mixed and matched to give you some terrific new skills.

For all of you last minute shoppers, we'll be opening the shop on Monday December 23rd to give you as much time as you need to take care of those last minute gifts.

We look forward to seeing you soon.

Last Minute Holiday Gifts

As the last warm days of summer faded, we gathered around the project table in the shop and put our thinking caps on.  We wanted to create a great selections of smaller accessory projects that you could knit up rather quickly as holiday deadlines approached.

At the beginning of the month we filled our blog with the details of the twelve projects we selected for the "twelve days of Christmas".  Our November Knits are worth checking out, if you haven't already.  All of the projects have samples in the shop.  And many more besides.

We have all kinds of fun project ideas that could still be knit up in time to end up under your tree.  We hope that you'll stop by, so that we can share some of them with you.

Holiday Knitting

The holiday season has done it again, snuck up on us as we were busy with all of our other projects.  Now there are only a few weeks left to finish all the holiday gifts that we hoped to hand craft.

This month's project is Owl Coffee Cup Cozie designed by Sabrina Thompson.  This little cabled cuff is a quick knit in the round that can be embellished with fun beads and contrasting yarn to make a one of a kind gift.

We have kits created with all the materials you need to make a set of four, and all for just $15.  You can make a gift of the kit for your friends who knit and would enjoy a little project; or you could knit them up and gift the entire set; or give one each to members of your bookclub or knitting circle.  Theresa loves the idea of wrapping a cozie around a reusable mug and popping a gift card for a latte or two inside as a special treat.

For those of you that haven't tried cabling, we have an introductory class designed just for you.  Join Julie C. for a fun evening class where she will explain the art of cables and then help you get cast on and started on a darling cozy ringed with owls that are sure to be a big hit this holiday season.   Call us as soon as possible to register!
