ERD Gets New Website!
I am thankful to have finished my new website in time to share it with you on this festive holiday weekend. Take a look at your convenience (post-meal is recommended) and let me know if you have any feedback! There is a new and improved layout, blog and more. Click here to view it.
Note: So far the site works best in Safari and Firefox. It has not yet completely gelled with Google Chrome. The site should have a white background. Feel free to try the site on your smart phone or tablet too!

Announcing the Seminal Solos Project
For the past two years I have been in the thick of my research phase for a historic solo project endeavor called Seminal Solos. I am thankful to announce that I am moving into the learning stage of the project!
The Seminal Solos project uncovers historic, rarely seen modern dance solos from 1926-1970 bringing them into current light through reconstructions, performances, education initiatives and video documentation. I aim to deepen my choreographic work and performance through preserving, sharing, and recontextualizing culturally relevant historic dances.
So far I have learned Ideas of An Acrobat (1970) by Anna Sokolow and am in the process of learning Harmonica Breakdown (1938) by Jane Dudley. In the upcoming year, I will learn The Call/Breath of Fire (1929) by Doris Humphrey and 3-4 other solos to be announced soon... I am working towards a complete program of 7-9+ solos that I can tour to colleges and theaters across the U.S. and abroad. Throughout my process a documentary is being filmed that explores similar questions.
