Our projects and services...

Is De'ils On Wheels a Real Hero?: we have been sworn to secrecy as to who the winners of the Awards are so you will need to tune in at 8pm on Friday 15 November to find out whether we won! A big thank you to everyone that voted for us!

Pop-up Shop: De'ils On Wheels will be having a Pop-up Shop at The Whiteinch Centre on Saturday 16 November. You will be able to buy reused bikes, get a free Dr Bike check and donate any unwanted old bikes! So why don't you pop down to our pop-up!

Annual General Meeting: many thanks to everyone that came along to the AGM and helped us celebrate our achievements over the past year and look forward to the coming year!

Community Empowerment Bill consultation: earlier in the year we reported on the draft Community Empowerment and Renewal Bill. The Government have now launched the Bill for consultation. The aim of the Bill is to help communities achieve their own goals and work in partnership with the public, private and third sector to deliver improved outcomes

Whiteinch Womens Day: WSHA and The Whiteinch Centre are running a Women's Day on Thu 5 December and we will be along with our pedal powered smoothies so why not drop in and get involved!

Dog fouling campaign: thanks to everyone that participated in the campaign. We will contacting everyone shortly about the next stpes including hosting another meeting before Christmas. You can keep up to date on the dedicated page on our blog.

Our environmental impact: we recently published our second environmental impact report. This year we increased the scope of the report and we are making good progress in understanding what the main contributors to our environmental impact are.

Garscadden and Scotstounhill Area Partnership: the next meeting of the Area Partnership is on Tuesday 3 December and the papers will be available online from Tuesday 26 November.

Street lighting upgrade programme: the Council have announced an extensive programme to upgrade street lighting which has already started to happen in our neighbourhoods.

£74 million home energy fund: a new national campaign which will make sure households know what energy initiatives they are entitled to.

Glasgow making good progress on cycling: a recent report from Cycling Scotland looking into cycling developments across Scotland has identified Glasgow as one of the best performing Council's

Job Opportunity - Energy Adviser: Whiteinch & Scotstoun Housing Association are currently recruiting for an Energy Adviser - deadline for applications is Wednesday 27 November

LINKES Community Ceilidh: the LINKES Project are holding their annual community ceilidh on Friday 23 November in Knightswood Congregational Church

Campaign for Clean Air in urban areas: Friends of the Earth Scotland are calling on the Scottish Government to create a Scottish Air Quality Action plan as air pollution still kills 38 people a week and Glasgow is one of the most polluted cities in Scotland. Please take a minute to email your MSP.

North West Community Planning Partnership: the papers for the most rcent meeting of the partnership which took place on Wed 13 Nov are available on the Council website
