Taking our own medicine
Our re-branding helped us feel your pain. Wow is that hard work!
Over the last year, we've been busy. We did some research (on ourselves!). Were we scared? Yes. Was it useful? Also yes.
Like you, we were trying to figure out how to be more of what we do best. OMG that is hard work. It's SOOO much easier doing this for someone else.
The net result is a new look, new colors, new tagline and a new website. I know... that's a totally "so what" announcement. But wait, there's more!
We also developed several pieces of useful content in the form of downloadable e-books. (You do not need a reader for these, they are all PDFs.) You may be familiar with Painless Qualitative Planning -- now completely rewritten and updated but still a complete guide to thinking through and planning an insights research project.
If you ever go to focus groups, you'll find our Focus Group Observation Guide helpful. Feel free to share this with others in your organization. (And it works just as well for observing any other kind of research event.)
If you have ever hired a qualitative researcher, at some point you will be reviewing their discussion guide or interview guide. How to Review a Focus Group Discussion Guide provides tips for doing that. (Don't you love these sexy titles??)
All of this is now available on our website. Plus a few goodies I will let you find on your own.
B2B innovation case studies webinar
Innovation projects can take many forms. I illustrated this in a recent Qcast webinar with two short case studies showing how two different organizations found insights that led them to innovation.
The Qcast, called Bringing Insight to Innovation: From Data to Insight with N=1 is available for watching anytime, it's archived here.
I presented similar content at some major conferences this year. So grab a hot beverage and take a well-deserved brain-break.
If you'd rather just have the slides, you can download a PDF here.
If you have questions about the cases, I can't tell you the top-secret stuff of course, but would be happy to answer any other questions.
I have a favor to ask. Please give me your feedback on the free stuff. Is it helpful? What else would be helpful? And thank you for reading!
