3D Art Competition Comes to Topeka The Alice C. Sabatini Gallery’s Topeka Competition 31, a juried, arts and crafts exhibition, has attracted exquisite entries from as far away as New York, New Mexico and Pennsylvania. Jewelry, metalwork, sculpture and ceramics, including some unusual vessels (translate: would you really put tea in that?!), are on display Dec. 6 through Jan. 19.

A walk through the gallery will bring you eye-to-eyes with a mosaic made out of googly eyes, the small plastic craft toy. An 8-foot chain necklace and 10-foot basin show artistry on a grand scale. We can't wait to hear what grabs your attention.

43 artists, including 11 Topekans, await word on whether they take home top honors and prize money. The exhibit’s Opening Reception starts at 5:30pm, Friday, Dec. 6, with an Awards presentation at 6:30pm. See how the judge’s awards stack up to your favorites.

Can't wait? See the exhibit online now.
