URGENT!
When : Tomorrow, Friday, November 15
Time: Gather: 10:30 to 10:45 am. Media: 11:00 am
Where: Room 107 State Capitol building
100 Rev. Martin Luther King Jr. Dr.
St. Paul, MN
With over 60 Minnesota wolves already dead, we are appealing to Governor Dayton to suspend the killing by presenting his office with the over 53,000 signatures to our letter. If you can attend for even a short time please stop by room 107 in the Capitol. The press is expected to be there at 11:00 am, and we have the room reserved through 12:00 pm. Photos and other documents will be on display.
Now is the time to give Governor Dayton the names (and zip codes) we have gathered urging him and other Minnesota leaders to suspend the wolf hunting and trapping season. There is nothing in law that stops the Governor from suspending this hunt now. We believe that Governor Dayton can show leadership by suspending the hunt before the trapping season begins. The wolf is not just another game species. Our Governor's actions should be guided by the recent low wolf count and the DNR’s own admission that the effects of the first hunt are still unknown.
Our wolves will follow the way of other large animals in this state if we do not take action today and suspend this wolf hunt and trapping. Your presence, your signatures, and your donations are urgently needed and appreciated.
Howl loud,
Howling for Wolves
