It's been a while since you joined the Drowned in Sound mailing list, but we're finally contacting you with some big-ish news.
http://drownedinsound.com was relaunched a few days ago with a fancy new design. Beyond the spit-shine, we have taken away some distractions to allow our words to breathe, put the records we love to the fore and cleaned up lots of little things up. We did this on quite a small budget, so it isn't some new-fangled bang-whizz refit and we can't do sophisticated things like services with millions of investment, but this facelift is definitely an improvement.
Go have a prod around and tweet us @drownedinsound to let us know if you have any issues or suggestions. We know that we have lots of little niggles to fix, but we didn't want to stick that horrible "beta" word on a website that has been around for 13 years.
The Icarus Line and Future of the Left will be making some noise this Thursday at our unofficial web site relaunch. It takes place at Netil House in East London, as part of ATP's series of shows there. More details here: https://www.facebook.com/DrownedinSound/events
