SWU carries on this annual tradition, which started when TGP and ALIVE were located on the Central campus.
Representatives from across campus including students, faculty, and staff handed out candy and other Halloween goodies to the children as part of their Fall Festival.

Meet the new Warrior

A muscular new warrior who embodies Southern Wesleyan University Athletics’ new look, made his debut Oct. 25 at the university’s Central campus. Suiting up for the debut was Bob Cooley, no stranger to SWU athletics. Baseball and books go together

SWU Baseball Coach Mike Gillespie and three of his players visited Elizabeth Atcheson’s first-grade class at Six Mile Elementary to share about the importance of doing well in school and in life. The players read Halloween books to the class of 19 first graders and answered questions about what it's like to be a SWU student-athlete.
The visit was coordinated by Atcheson, along with Michael Land, Six Mile Elementary’s PE teacher. Pictured with the class are SWU Baseball Coach Mike Gillespie, along with players Matt Buss, Julio Lara and Matt Craig.

Stepping up to give the gift of life

Regina Bolding reports that 31 SWU employees gave or attempted to give blood Oct. 25. We increased our giving by more than 600 percent from the previous year! Lori Herron has calculated the participating percentages, and the winner of the Blood-Drive Challenge is Correll Hall (upstairs level). Congratulations! Together, we possibly helped save the lives of 93 people

Congratulations
