This afternoon a diminutive version of Green Willow reopened.  As you may remember, I quickly closed my business in August believing I would soon be deep into the process of selling our house and building another.  Alas, the property we had intended to purchase was discovered to have issues that would take the cost of building out of our comfort range.  With sadness we had to say "No, thank-you."  We are continuing our search for property, our home is ready for market, and I have far too much time on my hands, and I miss tea!  So, the decision was made to reopen.

This is a smaller, tidy website specifically designed to be easy for you to use and for me to maintain.  My hope is to be able to keep my business going even if we find property and rebuild.  Most of our favorite teas are now available, but not all.  Some tea importers have order requirements that now put their teas out of the reach of cottage businesses such as mine. If you do not find one of your favorites, please email me and I will let you know if it will be available.  Mulling Spices and a few more Holiday teas just arrived this afternoon and will be on the website this weekend.  

The costs involved with growing, producing and importing tea have gone up worldwide. With careful ordering I have been able to price teas very close to levels we enjoyed earlier this year. To keep those prices down as long as possible, I have made a few changes.  Rather than run occasional sales, I am going to pass what would have been a sales discount on to my customers in the form of lower prices and a simplified shipping schedule which includes free shipping for orders of $60.00 or more.   We will still have occasional special offers or close-out specials, but I anticipate no website wide sales or discounts.  I am simplifying the order process as well.  All orders must be placed on the website with payment via debit or major credit card. These changes will streamline back office paperwork and inventory control greatly.  

I invite you to visit Green Willow Living and take a look around.  Most teas are available in 2 ounce, 4 ounce, and 1/2 pound quantities with price breaks at the larger quantities. There are also a few favorite tea accessories available, such as the compostable Tea-Sacs.  I'll be adding to this area very slowly and carefully, but do let me know if there is something you would like added.
