The Private Traveller - November 2013

The team have been very busy the past couple of months. Clinton in Fiji, Mandy cruising the Caribbean and Sandra on Safari in East Africa. Kerry is in Fiji at present revisiting some old favourites. You will find their stories below.

Whatever destination or travel experience interests you we want to make sure that you have the best possible advice and information. The best way to do this is by experiencing it ourselves. If we haven’t done it we will go to the best source of information that we have available. That can be from many of our valued suppliers. Christmas is fast coming upon us and New Year is around the corner. If you are even just thinking you may travel in 2014 make sure you register this information with your Private Travel Company advisor so they can advise you of the next round of special airline rates to UK/Europe and US. There are still some earlybird rates available on a few of the airlines for a limited time. Africa was a very popular destination this year. Obviously the Camps are not large so numbers are limited. It is recommended to book well in advance. We can keep you up to date with any destination interests you may have. Just let us know.

My husband and I love sailing, from racing small yachts and windsurfers to cruising in larger yachts with friends on holidays in many destinations around New Zealand and overseas. This year we decided to try cruising on a larger ship to see whether it was for us. Firstly choosing the right cruise was important. Villas available in Croatia

Croatia has quickly become a favoured destination. A couple of the Private Travel Company team have spent some time in Croatia sailing and exploring. World journeys now offer a selection of Villas in the Coatian Islands of Brac and Hvar which we know will delight New Zealanders visiting these shores. Accommodating 8-10 people the villas are recommended for families or groups of friends. Prices for the Villas vary seasonally which a minimum 7 night stay applying in July and August.
