AGM and Committee
 

Thanks to everyone who helped JALT National to be such a great event, particularly to the presenters at the LiLT Forum and all those who dropped by the LiLT SIG booth to say hello during the weekend. As a result of our AGM at the conference, our executive committee looks like this:

Logo 


We now have a new logo, which you should look out for at future events and activities by the SIG. Thanks to Maeda Takato for the great design. We are very happy with the visual pun on our acronym ‘LiLT’ and are pleased to have the logo for our own use.

The Heart of The Matter 
 

The heart of the matter: Literature and language teaching’ conference will be held at Aichi University (Toyohashi Campus) on September 6-7th, 2014. You can find the Call for Presentations on our website, deadline for submissions is May 15th, 2014. A big thank you to Kevin Stein for the poster design. 

 

PanSIG Conference Call for Proposals now open


You are warmly invited to take part in the 13th Annual JALT PanSIG Conference. The PanSIG conference is held annually by the Special Interest Groups of the Japan Association for Language Teaching.

 

Theme: Sustainability: Making Learning and Teaching Last

A new group, The East Japan International Poetry Association (東日本国際詩学会), will be having a meeting open to the public in central Tokyo on March 15th, 2014, at Toyo University’s Hakusan campus from 1:00 pm to 5:00 p.m.  For further information, contact LiLT member Jane Nakagawa:  <vf2j-nkgw@asahi-net.or.jp>

JALT2014: Call for Proposals open now and close 11 February 2014


Please come join the 40th Anniversary JALT International Conference next year. If you wish to present, please submit proposals soon. The deadline is significantly earlier this year, but notifications will be sent to applicants by mid-April instead of mid-July.

The next issue of the Journal of Literature in Language Teaching (JLiLT) will be available at the end of November from our website. We accept submissions throughout the year for the journal.
