Brazil Visions

Magnum Photos comes back on 50 years of Brazil features and shows what is Brazil today. A set of editorial visions is presented about subjects such as land conflict by Alex Webb or contstant violence by Alex Majoli. Bruno Barbey and David Alan Harvey's visions are more attached into daily life and culture. Finally, René Burri offers us images anchored in Brazil's history.

Alex Majoli had exclusive access to follow Lula and his presidential entourage across Brazil, documenting the president and the country he is governing.

The museum La Pinacoteca in Sao Paulo invited Bruno Barbey to work in Brasil as part of the up coming French year in 2009. His recent images complete the photographer's vision started during his first trip in 1966.

René Burri

Many of René Burri's pictures in Brazil are iconic, but he also has caught moments in time. He mostly worked on Brasilia which brings us a powerful author vision on the city.
