Our projects and services...
Volunteer Administrator: we are currently seeking to recruit a
volunteer administrator (or administrators) to volunteer up to 16 hours per week in our office at the Heart of Scotstoun Community Centre.
2014 Calendar: still looking for a wall calendar for this year? Then look no further because - we have a
De'ils On Wheels calendar available! Plus lots of suggestions to help you fill your calendar with green activities!
Bike donations: Did you get a new bike for Xmas? If so then please consider donating your old bike to
De'ils On Wheels - we will make sure it gets a new lease of life!
Dog fouling campaign: thanks to those that attended the meeting this week - an update will be posted in the
blog in due course. Plus a date for your diary - the Ditch the Dirt campaign will run from 1 to 14 September this year.
Community Empowerment Bill consultation: the Government
consultation on the Bill is open for responses until
Friday 24 January 2014. The aim of the Bill is to help communities achieve their own goals and work in partnership with the public, private and third sector to deliver improved outcomes
Garscadden and Scotstounhill Area Partnership: the next meeting is scheduled for
Tuesday 11 February 2014. If you work for a voluntary organisation in the North West of Glasgow then there will be an opportunity to meet your voluntary sector reps at an
event on Monday 17 February.

Whiteinch Bike Club: a
new bike club will be launched in Whiteinch this week with the first meeting on Thursday 23 January and the first cycle ride on Saturday 25 January and then every two weeks after that.
LINKES new newsletter: LINKES have kicked the New Year off in style with
a new newsletter full with lots of goings on over in Knightswood!
S1 pupils in credit: Glasgow City Council has come up with a unique and innovative way as part of a bid to halt the rise of high-cost payday lenders – they have given every S1 pupil in the city the opportunity to have
£10 deposited with a local credit union.
City wide bike hire scheme: the Council have awarded the contract for the MACH (Mass Automated Cycle Hire) scheme and the proposed locations of bike stations, including one at Scotstoun Stadium, are

Commonwealth Inspiring Communities events: Calling all community groups and organisations. Following on from the Inspiring Communities Event last year there will be a more localised approach to Legacy planning. Please accept
our invitation to attend the event in your area to see what benefits can be made for your organisation/community from this once in a generation opportunity
