"We have met doctors who have been forced to close clinics after dark because ‘no one will come because of the tigers’; one who was illiterate until a teenager when his tribal parents decided he must have an education; another who works in an armaments factory outside Mumbai who looked at me patiently when I enquired if home visiting formed part of his work: “Madam, it is an armaments’ factory - we do not allow any homes nearby!” Read more >>
