Dear Readers,

A professor once told me that winter is like a stage: nature recedes, and our own lives come into the foreground. It's a curious point. The question that follows is how to make our lives as colorful as possible against winter's quiet backdrop. My hope is that the features in this issue -- an announcement about winter writing workshops and a blog oozing with Berlin curiosities -- will make the months ahead seem brighter and full of potential.

I'm also very happy to report that 'Reading for Pleasure' welcomed a bucketload of subscriptions after last week's issue. Thank you to everyone who helped promote! We're on a roll, so please keep encouraging your friends to subscribe at
berlinreads.com. As always, more the merrier.

Cheers & Prost,
Stephanie
