Two notable events in January 2014:
If you play dulcimer, here's a great festival you can come to!
--- Kentucky Music Week's Winter Dulcimer Weekend (in Louisville), January 10-12, at which Timothy will be a workshop leader, performer, and vendor.
Workshop titles are
Meaningful Improvisation: Solo, Free, or Ensemble
Folk Hymns
Solo Arranging
Musicality: Phrasing for Drama & Meaning
Timothy will be bringing his unique insights and guidance during the workshops, and will be performing, joining in many jams, and showing off the CDs and Dusty Strings dulcimers he has!
See their website for more details. And our website's page on it.
And there's a special concert in Williamsburg, VA:
--- A Celebration of Acoustic Music, at the Williamsburg Regional Library Theatre, January 18, 21014, at 7:30 pm.
It's part of the Dewey Decibel concert series, and Timothy will be sharing the stage with the fine Old-Time group Orion as well as the Bluegrass/Old-Time group the Runaway String Band! Each of the three will perform a set of their own, and they'll all join together for several selections.
