Lesson 92: God Promised - Expect It
By faith, expect Christ to come and help. You can count on it because He promised.
Rom.4:20-21 No unbelief made him waver regarding the promise of God, but he grew strong in his faith as he gave glory to God, 21 fully convinced that God was able to do what he had promised.
Hab.2:3 talks about God’s appointed time: If it seems slow, wait for it; it will surely come. He may not come as fast as we would like, but He will come, at the perfect time.
Psa.37:7 Be still before the Lord and wait patiently for him
You can trust that He will deliver, but you have to stand firm in your faith. Isa.7:9 If you will not believe, you surely shall not last.
John 15:5 Without Him, you can do nothing.
Recognize that you have no other options; your only hope is to wait for God’s perfect answer. Faith in Christ is the only source of strength.
Eph.3:16-17 according to the riches of his glory he may grant you to be strengthened with power through his Spirit in your inner being, so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith.
Jesus sent the Holy Spirit to indwell our heart. Only the Spirit can kill the sins of the flesh.
Rom.8:13 if you live according to the flesh you will die, but if by the Spirit you put to death the deeds of the body, you will live.
About This Series
The goal of this series is to become more useful in serving the Lord Jesus Christ, as an instrument in the Redeemer's hand. The theme verses for the series are Ephesians 4:22-24, Philemon 11, 2 Timothy 2:21
- to put off your old self, which belongs to your former manner of life and is corrupt through deceitful desires, and to be renewed in the spirit of your minds,
- and to put on the new self, created after the likeness of God in true righteousness and holiness.
- Formerly he was useless to you, but now he is indeed useful to you and to me.
- Therefore, if anyone cleanses himself from what is dishonorable, he will be a vessel for honorable use, set apart as holy, useful to the master of the house, ready for every good work.
