Holiness, Godliness, Usefulness

Lesson 103: God's Holiness: Our Comfort
God is absolutely holy; that should be a great comfort and assurance to us.
Sometimes we question God's plan, or we complain that He is treating us unfairly. Whenever this happens, we can be 100% sure it is Satan, because we know God’s character.
If we complain and think that God is being unfair, we are denying God’s holiness.
God’s nature makes it impossible for God to be unfair. All of God’s actions are always holy. Satan is still using the same trick that worked with Eve: ‘God is being unfair to you’.
Gen.3:4-5 the serpent said to Eve, “You will not surely die. God knows that when you eat of it, your eyes will be opened, and you will be like God, knowing good and evil.”
When circumstances are bad, when you suffer trials, know that God is in control, and He is holy. One way we praise God is by recognizing His perfect holiness.
Rev.4:8 the 4 living creatures… never stop saying “Holy, holy, holy, is the Lord God Almighty, who was & is & is to come!”
About This Series
The goal of this series is to become more useful in serving the Lord Jesus Christ, as an instrument in the Redeemer's hand. The theme verses for the series are Ephesians 4:22-24, Philemon 11, 2 Timothy 2:21
- to put off your old self, which belongs to your former manner of life and is corrupt through deceitful desires, and to be renewed in the spirit of your minds,
- and to put on the new self, created after the likeness of God in true righteousness and holiness.
- Formerly he was useless to you, but now he is indeed useful to you and to me.
- Therefore, if anyone cleanses himself from what is dishonorable, he will be a vessel for honorable use, set apart as holy, useful to the master of the house, ready for every good work.
