January Update – Transport, Growth and FutureTalks
Happy 2014!
It’s been a manic but very positive month so far, with 2014 projects taking shape, our Crossrail research in full swing, three concurrent Leaders courses humming along, plus plans for an event tied to London’s growth and the Mayor’s Infrastructure Investment Plan.
We’ve also been invited to contribute to a range of events, from Urban Design Group’s Leaders of the Future evening and Centre For London’s Understanding Londoners roundtable, to CIH Brighton (as guests of core sponsor Lovell) and the RTPI Centenary Transport event.
Finally, we’d like to welcome back LB Islington as a member, and to thank new supporter Pollard Thomas Edwards architects (PTEa), who are hosting both senior seminars and our upcoming FutureTalks for Future of London’s Steering Group and guests. Watch for details here, and if you’re not a member yet, ask one for an invitation…
See you out there!

Future London Leaders: 100th-candidate round begins!
|
|
On January 15th, we launched Future London Leaders Round 7. The event gave new candidates a programme overview, tips from FLL alumni, and a chance to meet their mentors. We look forward to working with this great group over the next six months to expand their skills and opportunities!

FLL Alumni Network launch
|
|
To celebrate reaching FLL's 100th candidate mark, we're creating an alumni network so candidates past and present can keep in touch and build on knowledge developed during FLL and Leaders Plus. FLL grads and Steering Group reps Philippa Bloomfield and Holly Mann are leading the effort, and ways to get involved will include seminars, networking events, online forums and a dedicated LinkedIn group.
