Student Christmas dinner
Students on the Central campus took a break from end-of-semester studies, donned festive holiday apparel and enjoyed a Christmas dinner, served by staff volunteers at The Founders Dec. 4.

Soccer team helps hungry
The final four teams, including the SWU Men's Soccer Team, packed more than 60,000 meals to feed hungry people in the Orlando/Kissimmee Fla. The Warriors were top-seeded going into NCCAA National Tournament this past weekend. Championship details are at thenccaa.org.

Learning manufacturing complexities
Business majors enrolled in Dr. John Frazier’s Production and Operations Mangement class prepared prototypes and detailed presentations outlining each aspect of production, as if they were to pitch the idea to a corporate board.
Among the students were Drew Welch, left, presenting an idea to produce a state-of-the-art competition bicycle; and Nick Shear, presenting his idea for a high-performance golf club.
SWU featured in TV interview
Jason Norton, regional director for the North Augusta learning center, was interviewed by WRDW-TV, the local CBS affiliate, about the MBA program. According to Norton, the interview was scheduled to be aired this morning. It's great to have such good media coverage in the CSRA!
Baseball team collecting toys for Country Santa
The SWU baseball Team is in the process of collecting toys for Country Santa, a local organization that helps the Upstate's needy families. The team will collect toys and money prior to Christmas and will help bag and distribute the toys closer to Christmas day. Read more>>
Congratulations
Felicia George, a Columbia AGS student, recently was named as a liaison for Behavioral Health at the S.C. Department of Health and Human Services. She was also featured in Healthy Connections, the agency’s publication. George will be graduating this week with her BS in business management. She was also invited by SWU’s Alumni Association to serve as an alumni board member representing the Columbia area. George is provisionally accepted into the master of health administration program at Webster University and slated to begin in January 2014.

Rasheem L. Neloms was nominated teacher of the year at Military Magnet Academy from Charleston County School District. He will be receiving his MEDAS at this Saturday's graduation.
Archer Price was born Dec. 3 to Cody and Sheila Price,weighing 5 lbs. 2 oz. and measuring 18 1/2 in. The Prices served as residence directors for the Eagle’s Rest. Additionally, Cody was site assistant at the Greenville learning center and Sheila was a graphic designer.
